Doug Mosher is a tenor saxophonist who lives in Boston. He grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and studied at the University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music before moving to Nashville in 2010. In 2014, Mosher was featured in the critically acclaimed film Land Ho!, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and was internationally distributed by Sony. That same year, his saxophone improvisations were an integral component in the underlying film score heard in Listen Up Phillip, which starred Jason Schwartzman and Elisabeth Moss. Mosher has collaborated with a wide array of artists, including a clarinet feature on Grammy nominated artist Kim Richey’s release, Thorn in My Heart. A former first grade classroom teacher, Mosher currently is a doctoral student at Harvard University studying language and literacy interventions for elementary school students.
